I've been surfing for days searching sites similar to Yahoo Answers, sites that allow you to ask questions and get answers.
There were a few real gems. I'll make a Top 5 list and will describe each site.
#5 Dizzay - This was my first thought when I read the question. I personally don't like it. It's too colourful and kinda hard to navigate.
#4 AskVille - by Amazon. I've noticed it's a commercial one, but you can find some really nice answers there.
#3 HelpGlobe - This site has more personalization features. Worth a try.
#2 WikiAnswers - I thought WikiAnswers was just totally copying Yahoo! Answers, but apparently I was wrong.
#1 AskPedia - And at last I got the winner, AskPedia.
These are just a few I know, but you would love check out others, just simply type the following into Google: related:answers.yahoo.com

Never heard of any of these sites, but its worth going over there if one cant find the answers at yahoo.

I think you missed out answerbag.Answerbag is a huge question answer site in internet.It has over a lakh registereed members.
Google answers once used to be the best. But after a four year old working google choose to discontinue this service.That made yahoo answers the most preferred one.Otherwise google answers would have ruled the QA domain.
You can also try out this site: http://computerkid.co.in This site is similar to yahoo answers. Its simple in design .Very easy to navigate and you will find very less spam in this site.

Tried them all now but I keep getting drawn back to Yahoo answers and the 10 point fix
did not help=(
